About Me
After a childhood in the Royal Ballet, a submersion in modern history and philosophy at Cambridge University (specialising in magic, early science and female pirates), and a post-grad at the Royal Academy of Music, I spent over a decade performing in theatre, backing singing for pop stars, and writing and producing for TV and Radio. Along with two peculiar years as a Magician's Assistant.
It was following a tricky time dealing with the inevitable rejection and stress of the theatre and music industry, along with the fallout of a particularly frightening assault that I fully embraced what had long been a vital practice to me: yoga and meditation.
Initially training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa (the Rocket and Mandala), an ongoing battle with a panic disorder led me to Yin, Embodied Principles, and Qigong with Sifu Matthew Raymond Cohen. My fascination with the mind-body-nervous system connection led me to study the neuroscience of mental health at Harvard, and now, a five year MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute.
As a musician, I teach yoga with the breath tied to the beat of the music, and the movement tied to the breath. Calming the nervous system and finding tools to deal with anxiety and nervous system hyper-arousal are always top of my priority list, alongside making yoga accessible for all.

My Books
Returning to the ancient yogic text of The Yoga Sutras, two long-time yogis and part-time philosophers pull yogi ethics into the 21st Century, and show how incredibly relevant a 3,000 year old self-help book can be.
Greed, Sex, Intention is for the millions who are finding the next stage in their yoga practice, as well as those who have no interest in standing on their head, but are seeking ancient wisdom applied to modern life.
Five years ago your average yoga class contained a few down dogs, a standing tree and a cushion for meditation. Today, it is becoming increasingly clear that many wish to gain enlightenment through sticking their foot behind their head. Preferably in a handstand, ideally in the splits. And then post it on Instagram.
In this part-satire, part helpful manual, two leading yoga teachers demystify the big poses in full technicolour, so you can win at yoga, publicly.
